Mein liebster Challengeblog schließt seine Pforten: die Mittwochsstempler haben uns ein letztes Mal aufgefordert die Gummis qualmen zu lassen. Ich bin richtig traurig, weil ich ohne die Mittwochsstempler vermutlich nie auf die Idee zu einem eigenen Blog gekommen wäre – auch wenn es von der Entdeckung des Kreativpotentials von Challenges bis zur Umsetzung noch viel Zeit und gute Worte gebraucht hat. Also meine Damen: was habt ihr euch dabei nur gedacht?

My favourite Challengeblog is closing down: the wednesdaystampers have asked us to rock our rubberstamps own last time. I am really sad about this, because it was the wednesdaystampers who gave the first tiny spark to the starting of my own blog. (Even though it took quite a while and mental support from that first spark to the first click.) So, ladies, what have you been thinking?

Animals are this week’s challenge at the Wednesdaystampers‘. And I’ll always love Loriot’s Gentlemen in the bath. The text translates: „The duck will (not) stay out!“

Frühling ist das Thema der Woche bei den Mittwochsstemplern. Das kleine Tagbook habe ich mir bei Ilonka abgeschaut.

This week’s challenge at the Wednesdaystampers is „spring“. I got the idea for this little tagbook from Ilonka.

Dann kriegst du vielleicht sogar in einer grauen Welt rosa Seifenblasen zustande. Insofern ist diese Karte sozusagen ein Ratschlag an mich selbst.

Schwarz und Weiß sind diese Woche bei den drei Musen gefragt und bei den Mittwochsstempelern sind Blätter (und Blüten – okay…) bzw. etwas Altes und etwas Neues gefragt: also, der Blätterstempel ist brandneu, das Mädel mit den Seifenblasen habe ich schon etwas länger.

Black and white are this week’s challenge from the three muses. And the wednesdaystampers have asked for leaves (well, and pods…) or something old and something new: well, the leaves-stamp is brandnew whereas the girl with the bubbles isn’t.

Musik ist das Thema der Woche bei den Mittwochsstemplern und bei 4×4 Friday sind Mond und Sterne gefragt. Dabei kam mir der Film „Paper Moon“ mit Tatum O’Neal in den Sinn bzw. das Titellied dazu *summ*. Ich hatte allerdings kein Foto von Frau O’Neal zur Hand, deshalb ist es diese junge Dame geworden.

Moon and Stars are this week’s challenge at 4×4 Friday and the wednesdaystampers have asked for music. This brought to my mind the old movie „Paper Moon“ with Tatum O’Neal and the heading song *hum* I didn’t have a photograph of Miss O’Neal at hand so I chose this young lady as a stand-in.

…jedenfalls ein bisschen. Bei den Mittwochsstemplern sind diese Woche Werke in rot und weiß gefragt. Aber ein bisschen gold muss in dieser Jahreszeit jawohl drin sein, oder? Die Grundidee dieser Karte gefällt mir eigentlich gut, trotzdem bin ich mit dem Gesamteindruck nicht so zufrieden, so dass dieser Prototyp wohl nicht in Serie gehen wird.

This week’s challenge at the wednesdaystampers is purple.

Die Verbindung von Mensch und Technik in einem Stil, den man vor 100-150 Jahren als futuristisch empfunden hätte, ist das Thema der Woche bei den Mittwochsstemplern – jedenfalls entspricht das so in etwa meiner Übersetzung von „Steampunk“. Die technischen Gadgets in Filmen wie „Wild Wild West“ oder „Der goldene Kompass“ sind gute Beispiele dafür.  Ich liebe diesen Stil, habe mich aber bis heute noch nicht selbst daran versucht. Das Tag gefällt mir aber schonmal ganz gut, deshalb kriegt Steampunk auch gleich ein eigenes Blog-Tag.

Ein Lied zur Inspiration ist diese Woche das Thema bei den drei Musen. Ich habe mich für einen Lieblingsohrwurm aus Zeiten der Neuen Deutschen Welle entschieden – weil ich Paris nunmal so mag *sing* und deshalb passt mein Werk auch zur aktuellen Herausforderung bei den Mittwochsstemplern: Dinge, die du magst.

Das war mein erster Versuch einer Shadowbox (winzig: vielleicht 7×7 cm) und ich bin ganz zufrieden damit – auch wenn ich fast meine gesamte Umgebung blau gefärbt habe und außerdem den schon parat liegenden Mond vergessen habe anzukleben. Aber hey, man muss manchmal einfach wissen, wann man aufhören muss, oder?

To take a song for inspiration is this week’s challenge from the three muses. I decided on a catchy favourite from the times of the Neue Deutsche Welle: Taxi to Paris. It goes something like: With a taxi to Paris, just for one day, just because I like Paris so much… Mona Lisa stuck her tongue out at me. … I jumped into the Seine and stole the Eiffel-Tower and when the lights went out she held me tight and told me to go hiding. … With a taxi to Paris, just for one day, just because I like Paris so much. Well, and „things we like“ are the current challenge at the wednesdaystampers.

This is my first attempt at a shadowbox (it’s tiny: about 7×7 cm) and I’m quite happy with the turnout – although I coloured virtually everything around me blue and I forgot to glue on the moon I had prepared and ready. But hey, sometimes it’s all about knowing when to stop, isn’t it?
