Gez hat uns diese Woche bei den Daring Cardmakers nach unseren Lieblingssprüchen gefragt. Dieser hier zählt definitiv dazu. Ich müsste diesen Stempel eigentlich viel öfter benutzen!
This week at the Daring Cardmakers‘ Gez has asked us to show our favourite sentiment. This is definitely one of them. I should use this stamp so much more often!
Lythan hat uns bei den Daring Cardmakers aufgefordert, eine Karte zu machen, die so ganz typisch für uns ist. Macht einfach das, was ihr am liebsten macht. Aber was ist denn typisch für meine Karten? Ein bisschen Szene, ein bisschen schräg? Auf jeden Fall Grautöne! Und ein blöder Spruch muss auch dazu. Natürlich wurde das Hauptmotiv ordentlich maskiert und der Hintergrund gewischt.
Aber ob das jetzt eine typische Svenja-Karte ist? Das dürft ihr mal beurteilen!
Der Text ist übrigens mal wieder von den Missfits. Er stammt aus ihrer Hymne auf ihre Heimatstadt: „Oberhausen.“
Lythan has asked us to make a „signature style“ card for the Daring Cardmakers. Just do what you like best. Not so easy… what is typical me? A little scenic, a little silly? Definitely greys! Some silly quote of course. And the main motive was tidily masked to sponge on the background.
Now, is this a typical Svenja-style card? You tell me!
The text translates: If the sun is setting on the M3 I don’t care about the rest of the world. It’s by the Missfits (former german female comedy duo) who wrote a hymn to their hometown: „Oberhausen.“

This week’s challenge at the three muses is transportation.
Paper Piecing ist das aktuelle Thema bei der Fashionable Stamping Challenge. Das hier war einer meiner allerersten Versuche in der Richtung. Ich hatte für die Gäste eines Krimidinners Notizbücher gebastelt, die gleichzeitig auch als Platzkarten und als kleines „Mitnehmsel“ gedient haben.
Innen war ein Block mit Post-its für Notizen zur „Beweisführung“:

Paper piecing is the current Fashionable Stamping Challenge. This was one of my very first attempts at this kind of thing. I made little notebooks for the guests of a murder-mystery-dinner which also served as placecards and a little souvenir. On the inside each little book hade some sticky-notes for keeping track of the „evidence“.

Hallowe’en-Farben sind aktuell bei den Fashionable Stamping Challenges gefragt. Eher zufällig haben die Distress-Herbstfarben ihren Weg zu mir gefunden. Eigentlich war ich nicht der Meinung, dass ich neben meinem heißgeliebten „spiced marmalade“ noch ein anderes Orange benötige, aber inzwischen sehe ich das ganz anders…
Hallowe’en-colors are currently called for at Fashionable Stamping Challenges. It was rather by coincidence that last year’s distress ink fall-colors found their way to my desk. I didn’t think I’d ever need any other orange-colored ink-pad other than my beloved „spiced marmalade“ – but well, I’ve made up my mind….. The text translates „Holla! The forest-fairy!“ which doesn’t actually mean anything at all but is an expression of surprise / astonishment.
…und granatenstark. Aber bei The Octopode Factory Friday sind heute Grautöne gefragt. Eine meiner Lieblingsdisziplinen. Dieses ATC habe ich für eine True Colours-Tauschrunde gemacht.

Dann kriegst du vielleicht sogar in einer grauen Welt rosa Seifenblasen zustande. Insofern ist diese Karte sozusagen ein Ratschlag an mich selbst.
Schwarz und Weiß sind diese Woche bei den drei Musen gefragt und bei den Mittwochsstempelern sind Blätter (und Blüten – okay…) bzw. etwas Altes und etwas Neues gefragt: also, der Blätterstempel ist brandneu, das Mädel mit den Seifenblasen habe ich schon etwas länger.

Black and white are this week’s challenge from the three muses. And the wednesdaystampers have asked for leaves (well, and pods…) or something old and something new: well, the leaves-stamp is brandnew whereas the girl with the bubbles isn’t.
