Die Crazy Amigos sind umgezogen und das erste Thema unter der neuen Adresse lautet „schwarz-weiß-rot“. Ich habe gerade einen kleinen feinen ATC-Tausch mit dem Thema James Bond gehostet und das hier war mein Beitrag. Und einen kleinen Blick auf das Gesamtergebnis will ich euch natürlich auch nicht verwehren.

The Crazy Amigos have relocated and the first challenge at their new address is „black-white-red“. I have just hosted a small James Bond-themed ATC-swap and this was my contribution. And of course I want to give you a little glimpse at the overall result.

Dahin geht es diese Woche bei Crazy Amigo, das Thema heißt „fly away“. Im Deutschen fliegen Ballone zwar nicht sondern sie fahren, aber im Englischen passt das dann schon. Außerdem fliegen ja zur Not noch die Vögel. Die Mappe habe ich mit farblich passenden Karten gefüllt und dann verschenkt.

It is up into the air this week at Crazy Amigo, the challenge is to „fly away“. The folder was filled with some matching cards and given to a friend for her birthday.

Jedenfalls diese Woche bei Crazy Amigo. Diese Karte habe ich für eine Freundin gemacht, die längere Zeit im Krankenhaus war und sich beim Pflegepersonal bedanken wollte.

Zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe: bei Crazy Amigo sind diese Woche „Scraplings“ gefragt. Den Ausdruck hatte ich noch nie gehört, das sind Karten in den Maßen 21,6 x 3,8 cm (8,5 x 1,5“), mal was ganz anderes und gar nicht so leicht für mich – schließlich mag ich am liebsten Quadrate. Und die zweite Fliege: bei Creavil gibt es ab heute einen neuen Challenge-Blog. Und dort sind für die nächsten zwei Wochen „Vögel“ das Thema.

P. S. Ich musste gerade feststellen, dass ich mein Scrapling wohl falsch gemacht habe: ich hätte die Karte vorher noch auf die Hälfte knicken sollen. Mir gefällt’s so aber trotzdem.

Scraplings measure 21,6  x 3,8 cm (8,5 x 1,5“), something rather different and quite a challenge for me – after all I like squares best. And Creavil have started a new challenge-blog today. Challenges are given every 15th and 30th each month and the first challenge is „birds.“

P. S. I just realized I did my Scrapling wrong. You’re supposed to double-fold the card before stamping. But I still like mine.

Geschichten sind diese Woche bei Crazy Amigo gefragt. Diese Karte ist entstanden, als ich für meinen Englischkurs „Sixty Lights“  von Gail Jones gelesen habe. Die Fotografin Lucy Strange ist fasziniert von Biolumineszenz, seitdem sie dieses Phänomen auf einer Seereise an Fischen beobachten konnte. Als während ihres Aufenthalts in Indien ein Elefant unter dramatischen Umständen zu Tode kommt hofft sie, dieses Phänomen auch an dem Kadaver des Elefanten beobachten und so endlich fotografieren zu können. Leider wird daraus nichts und die Begegnung mit dem toten Elefanten bringt Lucy noch für eine ganze Weile Albträume ein. Keine schöne Geschichte, aber das war ja auch nicht verlangt.

Stories are this week’s challenge at Crazy Amigo. I made this card when I read „Sixty Lights“ by Gail Jones for my englisch class. The photographer Lucy Strange is fascinated by bioluminscence ever since she has observed this phenomenon in fish during a sea voyage. When an elephant dies under dramatic circumstances during her stay in India, Lucy hopes to be able to rediscover this phenomenon in the elephants cadaver as she has always hoped to sometime take photos showing bioluminescence. Unfortunately Lucy’s encounter with the dead elephant is not a success in this respect and gives her nightmares for some time. Not a nice story, I know, but that wasn’t asked for.

The colours black, white and green are this week’s challenge at Crazy Amigo. I think that dragonflies, having compound eyes, must have quite a different view of our cities than we have.

Dank der WM ist Fußball das Thema der Woche bei Think Monday – Think ATC und auch bei Crazy Amigo.

Da im Ruhrgebiet Fußball ganzjährig ein großes Thema ist, passt auch eins vom meinen Ruhr 2010-ATCs dazu.

Soccer is this week’s challenge at Think Monday – Think ATC and also at Crazy Amigo. The text on the first ATC translates 54, 74, 90, 2010 and refers not only to the years when Germany won (and will win) the World Cup but also to a song by Sportfreunde Stiller.

As soccer is king in the Ruhr-area all year round I also added one of my Ruhr 2010-ATCs which I made in honour of this year’s European culture capital. The text on that ATC translates „deep in the west“ and refers to the song „Bochum“ by Herbert Grönemeyer.
